Uncle Funk’s Disco Inferno pairs a live band with costumes, a programmed light show and pyro, and plays everywhere from festival main stages to wedding receptions.

We redesigned the band’s website around its two shows, Disco Inferno and Decades of Dance, with a cinematic dark design, film throughout and a page for every kind of event.

Designed in Figma, reviewed as a responsive HTML build and launched on a custom WordPress theme in September 2026, the site keeps its gig dates up to date from Bandsintown.

A Show For Every Room

From festival fields to wedding receptions, bookers find the version of the show that fits their night. Pick an event.

Five Kinds Of Night

Festivals, theatres, weddings, private parties and corporate events: one tab each, and each with its own page.

A Pitch For Every Booker

A wedding couple and a festival booker want different things, so each panel speaks to one of them, over a photo from that kind of show.

Straight To The Detail

Every panel leads to a full page with the production, the videos and the details that booker needs.

Gig Dates That Keep Themselves

The band’s public shows update themselves, with tickets one click away. Try a ticket button.

Straight From Bandsintown

Dates load live from the band’s Bandsintown listing, so a show added there appears here, with its venue and time, and past dates drop away.

Tickets In One Click

Every date links to tickets and to a reminder; a show with no tickets yet says ‘Tickets Soon’. The buttons here are a demonstration.

Never A Blank List

The page arrives with the dates already in place, then refreshes them from Bandsintown, so the section is never empty while it loads.

Built For Every Screen

The same homepage reshapes itself for a phone, a tablet and a desktop. Switch the screen size.

Laid Out For The Phone

On a phone the show’s logo leads, the menu folds behind one button, and both buttons run the full width, easy to tap.

Reshaped, Not Shrunk

On a tablet the buttons sit side by side; on a desktop the full menu and the Book The Band button fill the header, with the performer beside the logo. Switch the screen.

Nothing Hidden

The same sections, in the same order, on every screen: a booker on a phone sees every show, date and review a desktop does.

How It Was Built

We designed the site in Figma, reviewed it as a responsive HTML build, then built every page as a custom WordPress theme.

Responsive Design

On a phone, every show, setlist and event page keeps its night-time look, with a clear call to book on every screen.

User Experience

An Our Shows menu leads to each show, the playlist and the production, and every kind of event has a page of its own.

Questions.

What clients ask about how Uncle Funk’s Disco Inferno was built.

01How does one website sell two shows?
Disco Inferno and Decades of Dance each have their own colours, logo and page, and the homepage switches between them, so one brand can sell two very different nights.
02How do bookers find the right show for their event?
Festivals, theatres, weddings, private parties and corporate events each have a page of their own, with the production, videos and details that kind of booker needs.
03How are the gig dates kept up to date?
Public shows load from Bandsintown, so a date the band adds there appears on the site with links to tickets and reminders, and past dates drop away.
04How does a site full of film stay fast?
Every film was trimmed to a short loop and re-compressed, keeping the atmosphere of a live show without long load times, especially on phones.
05How was the design signed off?
The homepage was designed in Figma, then rebuilt in responsive HTML so the band could review it on any screen, before every page was built in WordPress.
